We are constantly changing. Images stay.
In a world where our digital traces are endlessly being evaluated by algorithms, thus gradually constituting our public identity i want protection from automatic categorisation. That is why i was looking for a visual representation that could reflect my continous change and protect me from the automatic categorisation at the same time.
One answer came from the internet itself.
I used familiar internet icons and situations to reflect on the fact that i am not my picture.
In the exhibition i added a tenth portrait where there is a mirror instead of my face, mirroring any viewer and illustrating so the fact that we always see and search for ourselves in the other. Also reflecting on internet being a magical mirror.
